My god do I have a lot to say about Skylanders. I started playing around 2016 when I could actually use a controler and understand the consept of "video games" and played in alternating reverse order (Trap Team, Imaginators, Swap Force, Super Chargers, Giants) excluding SSA. And I had a good time with it too, so I'm going to go in order with it from first to last. Starting off with... (These get edited every so often)

Skylanders Trap Team (First played: 20XX) |

Trap team was the first game in the series that I played, though I never completed it |

Skylanders Imaginators (First played: 2016) |

The second game I played was this "horrible" game. Skylanders Imaginators was made in 2017 by Toys For Bob. Thats it, I have to admit there were some things this game did good but one thing that held it back were not being able to use your old skylanders. I mean you could, but it sure as hell wasnt recomended, because this game introduced Senseis, they were the new Gimmick-Landers such as the giants, or the previously metioned Trap Masters. They also introduced the Imaginators, which were good on paper but in execution end up being stale after a while but end up not having things that you want to make. I feel like if they did something like Graffiti Kingdom where you get to draw your Imaginators or something, the game would likely sell better and likely keep the series alive till 2020. I personally think that we went a little bit too much into distructive and not enough into creative criticism. Sure is Imaginators garbage and complete ass compared to the rest of the series? Yes. Should we gone into it as hard as we could? I dont think so. Personally this game has meaning to me as I got it on "Winter" day (if you know you know) of 2016 and I loved it. My grandparents kept the X360 at their house at the time so it was really nice to have the game at my house - in fact I still have it and I cant say that it still doeant have a point. I use it as a paperweight for my scripts and art. Jokes aside I still pick it up I know its impossible to complete as I never got Ro-Bow or Wildstorm when the game was coming out and I don't have the time to get an NFC reader and cards to make the bin files. |

Skylanders Swap Force (First played: 20XX) |
|---|---|
The third game I played was Swap Force. This games Gimmick-Landers were the Swappers, they allowed you to make diferent combos of the top and bottom parts (LU/R face buttons) which were called Swapabilities. This game was so boring I will not lie, this was the game (excluding Imaginators) that was most targeted at a yonger audince and I don't even think they liked it Giants was 10X better if you were playing it when it came out, saying this I think I'm going to be shot by a countless amount of SSF fans (because there are none). I'm going to get into the reasons why I think SSF is boring as hell. For starters, the levels are too long, so long that they split minibosses into their own levels, for all intents and purposes it's only for padding. Anyways I have X% of this game done compared to my previous... XX%??? Why is it in the high doubles?! Ok, either way even if I have less completed now, I still had a good time. |

Skylanders Giants (First played: 20XX) |
|---|---|
I had my ass beat in Giants and only got 2 achivements in 20XX, and never touched the game ever again. Needless to say I never had much attachment to Giants, and I'm not sure if it was because of the artstyle or because of the fact there was no jump button. I never got past the first ship part and I never played it since till 2026. The part that confused me is that I had MAXED out Giants, I'm guessing it was because of the designs, they were really good I mean this game introduced Eye Brawl, Pop Fizz, Hot Head, Hot Dog, Tree-Rex, Jet-Vac. I could keep going if I wanted but I'll save yu the time. Oh I technically forgot to talk about this games Gimmick, those were the Giants. They were big. And thats it. I guess I could say this games "Gimmick" is you could play older SSA level packs, and this is the only game to do so. Personally I think thats fair, it runs on the exact engine as SSA, along with that 2 of the level packs or so were being released at the same time as Giants so it makes sense right? Anyways Giants, replaying it so far I got to X% while previously I had 1% of the game completed. So, I'd say thats a pretty big leap so far. |
I have taken that, even if the games were boring at some points, at least I had those moments to enjoy now, the multiplayer, the friends I used to talk to about it, and the small comunity that still exists to this day. Finding new discoverys like a "functional" Heart Breaker Buckshot, or Imaginator level to 80 I love that this game has brought so many people together. Also If someone could teach me how to make customs I would really love your graditude.
